Richardson Medical Center conducts Condition White disaster drill
In a biennial multi hospital drill led by the Dallas Hospital Council, Richardson Medical Center activated at 1 p.m. to simulate a tornado at Huffhines Park injuring about 20 people and striking a shopping center and a gas car. Seventeen victims were admitted and treated in seven minutes as Boy Scout volunteers acted as victims.

Arapaho Church seeks day nursery and school permit
The Arapaho United Methodist Church asks the Richardson city council to approve a special permit for a day nursery private school and kindergarten at 1400 West Arapaho following a plan commission approval after a July 12 public hearing. Deputy city plan items include temporary building permits for Collins Radio and Christian Word Ministries and multiple plats and variances to be considered.

Richardson trustees review preliminary budget for 1977 78
The Richardson Independent School District board opens its first look at the 1977 78 budget at 7 30 p m Tuesday in the administration building on Greenville Avenue. The architect seeks a variance to height limits affecting parcels adjacent to single family homes. Dallas area launches four week back to school traffic safety drive
Leaders from Dallas area cities school districts and groups meet at Oak Cliff Chamber to start a four week Aug 14 safety campaign. The effort aims to cover Dallas County with programs posters leaflets and public talks led by volunteers and coordinated by safety committees.
