The Richardson Police Department’s Major Crime Summary for June shows a 21.94 percent rise from May with minor thefts under $50 driving much of the increase. Auto thefts rose, burglaries and suspicious forgeries also up, while overall thefts excluding autos dropped from May. Juvenile arrests and narcotics cases rise. traffic violations near May levels. most accidents involve drivers aged 25 to 34.

Three Richardson youths were arrested Wednesday night for possession of alcoholic beverages and one was charged again for violation of state narcotics laws. An officer saw them in a car in a dark lot. a youth disposed of an item and a search found a wine bottle and marijuana remnants in a pipe.
