Richardson Community Fair plans excite locals with new exhibits
The 1966 Richardson Community Fair runs August 16-20 with a kick-off parade on August 13. Women's Division moves to the Greenville Avenue Gym while commercial displays expand under a large canopy. Nine teen midway booths, new rides, Panda Pitch, Panda Wheel and Bingo and appearances by Skydivers, helicopter rides, a science exhibit, Marine Corps display van, and military equipment stage shows highlight the event.

RHS Eagle Band Sets Summer Rehearsals
The Golden Eagle Band of Richardson High School will begin intensive rehearsals at 9 00 a.m. Thursday in the band hall with over 200 students vying for 100 member positions. About half the top unit are new members promoted from the Cadet Band or moving up from junior high. The Cadet Band starts August 10 and aims to compete with AAA high schools in north Texas.
