The Farmers Co-operative Assn has this week made a deal to purchase the Quaker Oats property adjacent to the Co-operative Elevator. This addition gives them a more complete siding frontage on the Milwaukee railroad.
Mrs. John Brouwer was hostess to the Bridge Club at her home Wednesday afternoon, entertaining the members with cards and conversation.
Members of the Ladies Aid and Women's Missionary Society of the U P Church work to clean renovate and paint the church basement. New drapes have been purchased by the societies.

The Northwest District Convention will be held Friday October 8 at Central High School Sioux City with three sessions throughout the day and evening. The local Board of Education permits faculty attendance so there will be no school on that date.
