Death by Own Action Near Sheldon
Ann McFarland 47 visiting her brother Ed McFarland two miles east of Sheldon committed suicide Friday evening by tying a rope to a stair rail and strangling herself. Discovered before life was extinct, she died shortly after. Recently from Adeline, NL she had acted queerly. no inquest was deemed necessary. Remains sent to Illinois for interment. Ed McFarland, a respected local citizen, mourns the loss.

Gasoline Gets In Its Work in Rock Rapids
