Printer J C Staughton Dies In Ditch Well Accident

J C Staughton fell into an abandoned well on Dell Thayer’s farm when boards covering the upper curb gave way. He died from being buried by dirt as rescuers arrived. The 50 year old printer, husband and father, was buried in Rock Valley Cemetery after a Sunday funeral.

Oxvel Wall Marry at Orange City

Invitations announce the marriage of E C Oggel to Miss Lulu Robinson at the American Reform church in Orange City on Tuesday noon October 19. A reception will follow at T J Deck’s residence from one to three. They will be at home after November 1 at the Wm Hutchinson residence. The Democrat offers hearty congratulations in advance.
