John D. Fassett aged 58 died when a pole used to support a corn elevator fell and struck his neck while he helped move the equipment on the Ellerbroek farm near Matlock. He was single and employed there. a sister Mrs. J. Tutte resides at Matlock. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Matlock.
Mrs. Jake Kleinhesselink and Mrs. Zwaggerman assisted Mrs. Otto Rouwenhorst in entertaining the Farm Bureau Auxiliary at her home on November 4. Miss Greenway led a Care of Clothes lesson with stain removal demonstrations. Nine leaders attended and plan to share the lesson at follow-up township meetings.
Red Cross canvassers visit homes today inviting everyone to join. If missed, enroll at Hilton Bros. Drug Store via Mrs. Stutzman or at the hotel to pay one dollar and receive cards and a button. Farm Bureau women also operate in the country and may miss locals. Enroll by Thanksgiving Day evening.
