Capel Items and Local Notices Mention Local Siblings and Illness
Capel notes Jake Den Hartog spent Sunday with relatives in Orange City. The Lensing Bros. shelled corn for C DeBoer and John Smit Thursday and Friday. Ernest Sharp and Miss Nellie Johnson were at Matlock Sunday afternoon. The Frank Vander Maaten and Velthuizen families have been ill the past two weeks. John Schafer received a telegram Friday from Grinnell that his brother in law Peter Anderson died Friday morning at six. Mr Anderson had suffered cancer for over two years. Rumor says Capel sod grabbers may play a game of ball this summer, beware Boyden clover hullers.
