The Boyden area reports four fully accredited cattle herds after final tuberculin tests by Dr. Golden and Dr. Brady. Owners John Grooters, Arie Verdoorn, Herman Luymes, and Gerrit Slothouber maintain Holsteins, Holsteins, Short horns and Polled Durhams, and Herefords respectively. A Boyden Community Club meeting is scheduled for next Monday at 8 15 PM at the town hall to plan the 19123 Chautauqua and ensure its success.

The Farmers Elevator in Matlock town was burned completely last Saturday night between 11 and 12. Insurance on the building and machinery totals 9000, likely covering some grain.
