Claus Lutjens Barn Burns Near Hull

A large barn on the Mrs. F. D. Nutjens farm, 23 miles north and 1 mile east of Hull, was destroyed by fire Saturday night around 8. Claus Lutjens, who farms with his mother, was in town when the blaze started. Mrs. Lutjens tried to save horses but failed. five horses, three milch cows, hogs, about 150 bushels of oats, and hay were lost. The building, new and among the largest in the area, was partly insured and will likely be rebuilt promptly.
