Devastating Wind Storm Leaves Widespread Damage
A fierce afternoon wind storm swept the region causing extensive destruction to barns outbuildings windmills and crops. Town landmarks including elevators sheds and a church were toppled or damaged heavily along with numerous farms from Sheldon to Hudson and beyond. One fatality was reported near Hawarden and communications were down across the affected area.
