Reeves Wins Nomination For Clerk Of Courts
The Board of Supervisors corrected the primary election books finding errors in the clerk of courts tally. Reeves of Hawarden led Harrison by eight votes after official counting, with Harrison previously reported as nominated by 119 votes. Other races showed little change. Mr and Mrs Chas Bergman spent a few days at Lake Okoboji fishing, returning with many crop pies from their catch.

Mrs Mary Jane Bard Dies at 84 in Mitchell South Dakota
Mrs Mary Jane Bard aged 84 died at the home of her daughter Mrs W R Smith in Mitchell South Dakota on Thursday at noon after living 25 years with the Smith family. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 am at the Congregational church with Rev Wagner officiating and Roseland cemetery interment. She leaves two daughters Mrs W R Smith Mitchell and Mrs J Gage Sabula Iowa and a son James Bard Miller South Dakota plus a deceased son John. Her obituary notes her culture refinement sympathy and kindness. The Reporter extends sympathy to bereaved relatives.
