Henry Rensink of Rensink Bros. Boyden, Holstein breeders, sold seven heifers averaging 460 and bought the top cow for 1010 at Waterloo Victory Holstein sale. The seller reports a state milk record of over 3000 lbs in 30 days and three state records in 1919 for Rensink, Iowa. Representative Royal Johnson of South Dakota received the Croix de Guerre for bravery in action.

Brick Stone of Sioux county explains the new auto tax schedule under which owners pay annually to the county treasurer for a license plate. The tax is 1 percent of car cost plus 40 cents per hundredweight, with a minimum $10 fee.
