John Heemstra announces candidacy for district supervisor subject to the Republican district convention and requests support from friends.
The Republican delegate convention for Sioux County meets in Alton to nominate candidates for multiple county offices. Delegates from five supervisor districts select nominees, then after adjournment each district names a supervisor candidate. The call lists township representation totals and names E Menrich and J A Ogg as secretary and chairman.
The Boyden Town Council orders four foot cement sidewalks in front of select lots along Railroad and Webb streets within sixty days. If owners fail to build, the town may hire contracts and levy the costs as a special tax on abutting properties, effective upon publication June 4 1906. Mayor Witt H Eppy and Clerk H O Turrie signed.
Ordinance 30 amends Section 10 of Ordinance 16 by striking out current text and requiring permanent sidewalks in Boyden Iowa. Adopted June 4 1906 and published June 9 1906 in the Boyden Reporter. Clerk Attest.
