Veterans and education survey shows large enrollments and vacancies
The VA survey reports 1,558,081 students in higher learning for 1946 fall term with 695,321 veterans under public laws 16 and 346. It notes many vacancies in smaller schools as big-name colleges fill up and lists Henson as VA education guidance lead.
