The Bergman Bros. are two of our best young men, popular and well liked by all who know them, and there is no doubt they will do well in this business venture. We certainly wish them well.
Mrs Herbert Connell formerly of this area died after a long illness at Bever Creek Minnesota. She was buried in Grant Township Cemetery south of Watlock after services at Mat lock. She was a devoted homemaker with a loving family and many friends.
A man calling himself Henry Miller convinced Independence area farmers mid September to sign petitions for county treasurer as an independent candidate and for a road and a bridge. The notes appeared Wednesday in the First National Bank of Independence, with transfers five or six times, prompting fears the drafts may need payment.
