OPS Facts Shows Slaughter Rules for Nonregistered Slaughterers

Nonregistered slaughterers may slaughter up to 100 head of show cattle or one carload of show cattle per calendar year when bought as a carload. Purchases must occur at a regularly scheduled public sale at a fair or livestock show. An old car trade in may exceed a ceiling price for the traded-in car but not for the new or used car purchased.

OPS fixes basic prices for Packard autos and options

The Office of Price Stabilization issues Special Order 1 under CPR 83 to set new basic prices for Packard passenger cars and extra equipment sold wholesale or retail. Dealers must post these orders for public viewing and provide clear ceiling price information to protect consumers. Regular pre diced stew beef rules and GPS reporting requirements also appear, with used car ceilings cutting 2 percent each quarter from 1952 onward.
