Declamatory Contest Showcases Student Talent
Boyden High School held its first declamatory contest with awards across three categories. Oratorical winners were Gettysburg Address by Art Kooiman, The Vision of War by Marie Heitritter, and Citizenship by Meta Steremann. Dramatic top prize went to Jean Val Jean by Pauline Sarset.

Matlock man treated at Samaritan Hospital in Sheldon
Clarence Rowe of Matlock formerly of Boyden has a three week treatment at the Samaritan Hospital in Sheldon. He feels better though not fully restored and plans to hire a Hull mechanic for spring work. The Sam Pedersen sale last Wednesday totaled nearly $7000 with a large, brisk crowd.
