Land Values Rise Across Western Iowa Farms

Santa Coming to Town in Boyden Saturday

Santa will visit Boyden Saturday afternoon December 23 and hand out candy and nuts to children at 8 o clock in the Town Hall. The event invites all kids to attend and greet Santa.

Westra 49th Wed Anniversary Noted at Family Gathering

Mr and Mrs Jake Westra celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary with children neighbors and friends. Rev Henry P Bank accepted a call to Boyden United Presbyterian Church and will arrive mid next week. He hails from Scotch Ridge Iowa and is widowed with two children.

Mr and Mrs Andrew Weld huizen of Sheldon visited in the John Brinks home Friday. Mr and Mrs Henry Van Vel den called on Henry Van Veld huizen at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls Monday. Mr and Mrs Sienus Smid and sons visited in the W A Krahling home at Sheldon Saturday evening. Mr and Mrs Krahling left for California by plane Tuesday to spend the holidays with their son Dr Buren Krah ling. Mr Ben Lyftogt left Tuesday for New York to sail for the Netherlands where he will marry Lena Koerselman and return in spring. Dr John Cehut of Minneapolis was a weekend guest in the Robert Dethmers home and also visited John Slyk huis and Joe Vari Ven on Saturday and Sunday. Mr Ed Olbekkink of Newkirk visited in the Dick Koerselman home Friday evening.
