Mission Fest to Be Held August 18
The annual Sioux County Mission Fest takes place on Tuesday August 18 at the Fairgrounds starting 10 am with speakers Rev Stegeman Rev H Sluyter Dr J Wesselink and Rev I Van Westenburg. A stereoptical Mexico lecture and cantine proceeds fund missions. Can tine also supports N W C A and new Mexico work.

Alton Women End 7000 Mile Camping Trip to Los Angeles
Mrs. S. Eason and her three daughters Hilda Emilia and Zella returned from a 7000 mile Ford touring car journey with camping along the way. They started in late May after school and visited Los Angeles with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dason before returning via Oregon.

Verdoorn Farm Changes Hands Again On Friday
The 80 acre farm north of the Boyden cemetery known as the Arie Verdoorn farm was sold to Alf Van Dyk of Hospers Iowa for 275 per acre. J B Landhuis of Hospers made a profit of 25 per acre in a short time. The farm is deemed one of the finest in this region and the new owner did not overpay.
