Death of Arie Kuyper at 51 in Boyden area
Arie Kuyper died at one o clock of heart failure at his daughter Mrs. Arie Ver Doorn's home south of town. He had been ill a long time and planned a Washington trip. Funeral at the Dutch Reformed church with burial in Boyden cemetery beside two adopted children. He was 51 years old and well respected in the community.

Council Proceedings in Boyden Iowa August 1910 Fire Limit and Sidewalk Orders
The Boyden town council met in adjourned session with Mayor Eddy. Ordinance No 34 establishes a fire limit in parts of Block 12 13 and 15. A resolution orders permanent sidewalks along multiple lots in Blocks 6 3 7 2 and along Main and Railroad streets in McCrum's addition. Bills approved for city officials.
