Livestock Shipping Association Formed in Granville
County agents Hansen of O Brien and Dunlop of Sioux met about fifty Granville area farmers last Wednesday and organized a Livestock Shipping association. Directors elected include H D Thorman Fred Lechtenberg Albert Kleender N J Ahlers and others. Thorman named president Lechtenberg vice president Kleender secretary treasurer. Two constitutions by laws adopted and first year dues set at one dollar per member. Over 30 members joined with rapid potential growth. Hawarden and O'Brien County already host similar groups.

Republican County Convention Announcement for Sioux County
By direction of the Republican State Committee the Republicans of Sioux County will meet in Orange City at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 17 to choose six delegates to the state convention in Des Moines to select delegates to the Republican National Convention. Township caucuses will be held on Wednesday, April 14 with times set by local committees. Representation based on the vote for Wynn Harding for governor in the last general election.
