Des Moines Letter Reports Senate House Rift Over Mossberry Bill
In March 1902 the Des Moines letter notes legislative tension as the House accuses the Senate of disrespect toward House bills, retaliatory hostilities flare, and Gov Cummins blocks the Mossberry bill. After days of open hostility and threatened break in intercourse, concessions from the Senate lead to an amicable adjustment with the House.
