School music department elects officers and dance band forms

Officers elected in the first week of school include Harold Trask as president, Tom Anderson as vice president, and Diane Clowes as secretary. Valley Cuts dance band rehearses weekly with enlarged trumpet and saxophone sections directed by Mr Baessler.

Boone Valley High School Sees Tests And Activities Begin

Students took nine tests over four days to measure growth and aid revaluation of the school’s education program. Nine areas included social thinking, reading, science, literature, vocabulary, and information sources. Results expected in six weeks. FHA group held first meets September 11 with officers Marie Mts, Janice Henriksen, Joyce Hawk, and Laurel Schipull.

Junior High Opens With 53 Students Underscored By Staff

In the Junior High News Department the new school term began with 53 students enrolled split into 24 seventh graders and 29 eighth graders. Seventh grade sponsors are Mike Willis and Mr Knapp while eighth grade sponsors are Mr Wilbur and Mr Mitchell. Courses offered to Junior.

Eighth Grade Typing Joins Hith School Curriculum

Eighth grade students will study typing as a one semester subject for the first time, joining other core courses. The class has 14 members and aims to equip students with typing skills they can use through high school. Officers include David Berk as president for the eighth grade, with David Anderson serving as seventh grade president.
