Thursday evening the TAT 4.8 club met at Joyce Reetland home for supper served by Mrs Heetland. Members elected officers including Mardelle Larson president and Desna Nissen secretary. Two new members joined, Marjorie Long and Judy Goettsch ers. Other society items include Literary Guild at Mrs Marvin Nerem home, Renwick Woman's Club lesson by Mrs Perne Persone, Lake Gide 424 Club meeting on Saturday, and Five Hundred party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Nerem. Birthday dinner honored Paul Yarbrough with guests from G.P. Gilligan and Sheffield clusters.

Humboldt County 4-H Club News Highlights October Meetings
The Owl Lake Booster 4-H Club met at Jean Kleve’s home on October 14 with Kenneth Fuhr presiding. Officers for the year were elected including Ronald Hooker as president and Richard Hanson as vice president. A district 4-H officers training school is set for Fort Dodge on November 1 for county officers of both boys and girls clubs, featuring duties discussions, recreation, get acquainted stunts, and a 2348 party. The Humboldt Chamber of Commerce hosted a dinner October 25 for county 4-H committees and demonstration teams, with leaders and committee members in attendance to review programs and meet the 14 girls demonstration teams and various boys teams.
