The local Boy Scout program has grown with 58 boys in either Boy Scout or Cub Scout groups. On Monday October 28 volunteers will solicit community support to aid camping cooking and outdoor activities at the Scout Camp Us. Wey Carison chairman urges residents to respond positively to the drive supporting youth development.
George Latch was taken by ambulance to Lutheran hospital in Fort ee Mack Mills after a football practice injury. Mack and Mrs George Milly visited Belmond Hospital for observation. Mack Nerem spent Friday with his father at Terry Nerem. Mary Nerem had a Sunday caller at the Marton Haveland home. Ale and Mrs Renal Larson and Ade Mike Procaccio with Sgt Roger Army visited from Plattemouth Nebraska in the Raymond Larson home Tuesday to Friday.
The AMBP announces a junior confirmation class led by Sam Luther League on Sunday at 7 am. Bible study leaders meet Tuesday at Bop in for planning and worship preparation.

The Town of Renwick will host a write in election on Tuesday November 5 as two Town Council members do not seek reelection Adrien Rademaker and Vern Harris did not run. Filing deadlines are closed. if no write in ticket appears, the council will appoint the vacant posts. Councilmen seeking re election are Louis Heetland Don Palmer and Elmer Schnetzer Arnold Blick runs for Mayor for another term. The Renwick Commercial Club meets Wednesday Get 30 at 12 noon with a noon lunch for members.

Two cars collided at the Renwick Laun dromat corner Tuesday afternoon injuring one seriously. Mrs Jerry Har rah rammed into a car driven by Mrs Richard Brock causing damage estimated at 250 to 300 dollars to the Brock auto. Brock was leaving the parking area west of the Corner Store when Har rah came around the corner and did not see the Brock machine.
Dows Tigers topple Boone Valley Bobcats 31 to 12 on Wednesday night October 16. BV opened with a fumble on their 3 yard line, Dows recovered and scored quickly, then BV drove into Dows territory but were stopped on the 3 yard line.
