Birthday Parties And Club Meetings Highlight Community
A crowded Saturday at Phyllis Lane’s birthday party featured about thirty young guests and a hayride. The WISGS Methodist Church group met at the church with hostesses Mrs John Swanson and Mrs Rum Stetcher presenting devotions and Rev Neal delivering a feature. Baptist Church workers met with Leah Kurfman leading a lesson and Carolyn Kurfian reading scripture as chimes rang and refreshments were served. Mission Society gathered at Ole By Hess Howe with 1981 noted. Mr and Mrs T W Gimner hosted a social with high score prizes won by Mr and Mrs Donald McGowan and refreshments at the close. Literary Guild met at Lucille Hovelane’s home with discussions on Blood Plasma and books and refreshments served. Prenuptial shower honored Miss Eva Block at Al Trummiel home with hostess LeRor Selvic. Yellow and white decor marked the bridal color scheme as Block’s wedding to Steiner was announced for Saturday.
