The 5.0.8. Bridge Club met last Thursday at Mrs. PH Sadler’s home. A 2:30 desert luncheon followed by three tables of bridge. Mrs J.E. Jones won high score, Ris. J Gimer tied for low, and Mrs. Ki Hail drew the prize. Mrs Darre] Matteson attended as a guest. Birthday dinner honored Mr Gugger and family with guests including Mrs Mite Luchsinger from Long Beach California.

Mr and Mrs Everett Bel and Stevie of Ames spent Saturday night at the Ceri Plemiaig home and accompanied the Flemraigs to Humboldt on Sunday for the Stone reunion. Mr and Mrs Gimner and family visited the JA Parker home in Humboldt. Mr and Mrs Jake Weston visited Verne Harris. Mrs P H Thiel and Mr and Mrs Gerhard Mayer were guests at a pre Thanksgiving dinner in Kanawha. Bir and Mrs John Zimmerman with Mrs Albert Hefti and Betty of LaVerne visited Gilber t Iowa to hear Dr Frank C Laubach. Mrs Lizzie Pressler of Eagle Grove spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs De Witt Mimbach. Mr and Mrs Willis Engh of Kanawha welcomed a baby girl born Nov 16. Mrs Engh is Arlene Anderson, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ed Anderson of Hardy, the Anders ons first grandchild. Dr and Mrs W H Long attended a reception for the Grand Marshal of the Order of Eastern Star in Des Moines.

Elaine Rammens piano recital at the Livermore Presbyterian Church drew Joan Wilhelm and Jo Ann Krause as ushers. Hardy’s Harold Smith joined Ben Wilkinson’s family for supper, while the Wilkinsons later visited Richard Ahrends in Kanawha.
