Fourteen ladies gathered at Mrs Elmo Anne's home for a belated surprise birthday for Mrs Em er Philipp. Another party followed at Mrs BR A Gorrell's home. The WSCS held a meeting in church parlors to plan exterior painting and appoint a painter. Members led prayers and devotions, with a lunch served. Various community activities followed including bazaars, PTA meeting, and birthday and farewell parties. The record lists numerous visits, dinners, and remembrances across families and neighboring towns.
Humboldt House Purchases and Family Moves
Mr and Mrs Anton Anderson and family bought a house in Humboldt and moved there. Mr and Mrs Cledis Anderson and family moved into the house they erected. Mr and Mrs Edward Anderson attended the funeral of the sitter's little nephew Leslie Van Dusseldorp. John Swan 50g home hosted guests including Castor and Mrs George Koestner of Fort Dodge and Floyd Nichols of Duncombe. Additional visitors on Thursday were Bill Sower Parry Kendall and Francis Porter of Hinton Okla Delbert Snell, Mrs Robert Meenck and Ben Dean of Duncombe.
