Birthday dinner and party at local homes
A birthday dinner honored Deloria Oger Friday at the Krause home with Mr and Mrs Cheester Ogan and family in attendance. A separate shower for Mrs Kennet Rifatt took place October 14 at the Romer home with Mrs Kraft and others hosting and 25 guests served lunch. Gloria Jean Wise hosted twelve children and her teacher Miss Harriet Rutery for a seventh birthday party with Halloween games and treats. The TN 4 1 CLUB meets November 8 at 2 15 at Phyllis Tank’s home with sewing for the girls’ wardrobe as the year’s project.

WHE ROYAL NEIGHBORS meet next Tuesday at Mrs May White's home. St Pauls Lutheran Ladies Aid met at the home of Mrs Al-Trummel with Mrs Clarence Kanders assisting. The Delt-4-Deck Bridge Club gathered at Mrs Bojanes for a dessert luncheon. prize drawings included a score prize to Mrs Maurer and a number prize to Mrs Doolittle. Erling Nerem hosted a seventh grade Hobo Halloween party with king and queen honors for Marv and Mary Ebien Kleen. venue festivities included games contests and refreshments with Joan Nelson of Britt as a visiting guest.

Local settlers host church and club gatherings in Boone area
Community members across Boone and surrounding townships attended church circles, 4-H meetings, and social visits. The FOYN Club planned a session with Dorothy Rasmussen at Marian Porterfield’s, while 4-H leaders invited girls to join.
