County Red Cross Seeks Gov Cotton Garments Aid

Humboldt County Red Cross chairman B Jollngan applied to the Midwestern Red Cross for a shipment of government cotton garments to aid 200 needy families this winter. The county has a plan to use 16 dozen shirts 24 dozen underwear 48 dozen overalls and other items. Local attendees noted prior shipments of government cloth and appeals for 1000 flour sacks to arrive by February.

Humboldt County Legion Auxiliary Met in Renwick

Humboldt County American Legion Auxiliary held its county meeting at Renwick last Saturday. Officers chosen include chairwoman Mrs Maula Zalska of Olsen, county chairman Mrs Sarah Strong, secretary Mrs Glnea Solbertz, treasurer Mrs Jane Leland, with reports on year’s work and remarks on the national convention. Refreshments were served by the Remick unit as entertainment featured Ottosen unit numbers and a quartet.

Bigg Turn-Out at Hardy Church Anniversary

Hardy church marked its fiftieth anniversary with full attendance last Sunday. Pastors, charter members, and former U.S. scholars joined Rev. Belden Weikel and Rev. Husking Bee At Frank Wyatt Farm Increases Harvest Pace

A corn husking bee at Frank Wyatt farm drew about twenty wagons with three to five men per wagon. The 65 acre field was finished by noon on Tuesday after a busy afternoon. A potluck dinner followed. Wyatt had been fed for weeks. George Bereman of Fork Todge visited Rav Laucenge Soh home Sunday.

Growing Church Notes and Epworth League Officers

Relden Weikel leads Growing Church in a live community program with 184 present last Sunday and 57 in attendance for the 60th anniversary. Epworth League officers were elected: President, 2nd Vice President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Pianists, and Chorister. Evening services feature sermons on Aware of the Eternal and The Fruit of the Spirit is Love.
