Renwick Woman's Club Hosts Charity Event and Notices

Mrs Howard Dhsch hosted the Renwick Woman's Club with 16 members present. A letter of thanks from the County Superintendent for a five dollar gift to the Special Education class was read. A mobile unit for tests will be in Renwick on May 24. The Friendly Neighbor clan met with 12 members and one visitor, Mrs Raymond Larsall, with Mrs Elmer Kubly teaching “Writings about Mother's.” A tray lunch followed. Mrs Virgil Tate is in Rochester hospital. Mr Tate and family visited Sunday.

Commencement Speaker Ray Cunningham at Boone Valley High

State Representative Ray Cunningham of Story County will deliver the Boone Valley High School commencement address on May 24. A 1919 WWI veteran and former YMCA secretary, Cunningham was elected to the Iowa General Assembly in 1956 and chaired the Schools and State Educational Institutions committee. His speech title is Inner Man And The Outer Space.
