Judge Ender Fire on Trial for Bribery Conspiracy
New York judge Martin Mantan, a former senior judge of the United States circuit court of appeals, faces trial on January 22 on two indictments alleging conspiracy to bribe a judicial officer and obstruction of justice. Mantor resigned last January after NY District Attorney Thomas E. Dewer charged he and his firms had received over 59,000 from individuals or companies whose affairs were before his court.
