William Hedrick 39 of LaVerne was found violently insane by the insane commission and sent to Cherokee. He has been a patient at Kossuth hospital after being struck by a auto, suffering a broken leg and fractured skull. He is married with four children. His brother Sam died in an auto wreck near Milwaukee tracks and Tom Wagoner, Algona barber, was killed in the same crash.

Dewitt Mimbach celebrated a birthday on Friday March 1st with animal cookies mostly Easter rabbits. Students enjoyed the party and a weeklong vacation followed.
