A devotional outline on God as love, salvation as a gift, and grace shown through Christ. It cites scriptural verses to emphasize that salvation is God’s love expressed, not earned by works, and that Christ died for sinners to justify and save believers.
Students at Boone Valley High School researched American drama from 1915 to 1955 and produced plays including The Stir Alarm and The Secret while selecting best actors. They also staged The Man With the Heart in the Highlands and A Trip to Chardis, practiced punctuation, and prepared for nine weeks with open house on March 10 and various upcoming events in March and April.
Mr and Mrs John Seger hosted dinner Sunday for their son Mr and Mrs J V Seger. Mr and Mrs Charles Reckard and family of Rolfe were guests at the Se Roy home, sharing a day of family visiting.
The Renwick Town Council met March 3 in regular session at Town Hall with Mayor Block presiding. Present were Hefty Klasse Palmer Heetland. absent Schnetser. W. C. Benderoff Co. representative Earl J. Humphrey discussed street resurfacing needs. Fire Chief Otto Swanson spoke on Berwick Fire Department operations. Bills totaling 36,36 were read and approved by the Finance Committee. The group discussed county-wide zoning and joining the Humboldt Regional Planning Program for planning only. The meeting adjourned with Darrell W. Matteson as Town Clerk and C. A. Block as mayor.
In the matter of the estate of George D. Bannick deceased Freeman notice announces appointment of Etta B. Bannick as administrator. Creditors must present claims to Humboldt Iowa district court clerk within six months from the second publication to avoid barred claims. Final publication March 26, 1964.
