Society junior mission band hosts and birthday dinners

The Junior Mission Band of St Pauls Turkeran Church met Sunday evening with Judy Goettsch and Mar- Yiyam Nissen as hostesses. Other participants included Sharon Hoffman, Jo Aan Kamp, Donaid Philipp, and Judy Kraft. A birthday dinner Sunday honored Mrs. Howard Mosr. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs Wm. Blete and others listed in the social notices.

Local Bridge Club and Women’s Club Events

The Southern 8 Bridge Club met at Mrs. A H Sisfford's home with three tables. Prizes were awarded for high and low scores and a draw prize. Lena Geiger hosted seven ladies for coffee celebrating Lena Eimer's birthday. St Paul’s Ladies Aid met at Mrs. Herman Nissen's house as Pastor Langholz presented Home Missions. Guests included J A Parker of Humboldt and families from Fort Dodge and Humboldt. Rebekah Lodge held a Thursday meeting at the Legion Hall with 20 members. traveling emblem shared with Hurmbold chapter and collection for Odd Fellows and Rebekah Home. 4-H Club met at Mary Korsland's home with seven members. talks on color, shoes, and a pattern demonstration. Fortnightly Club notes a change in meeting place to Mrs. C E Johnson's, with Mrs. Floyd Lane as reader.

Town Council Proceedings March 3 1951 Meeting

The regular town council meeting was held March 3 1951 with a quorum and Mayor presiding. Bills totaling 4893.70 were read and approved including fire, supplies, engine, gas, labor, and miscellaneous items. The treasurer’s report was read, a family matter was discussed, and the session adjourned.
