The Women’s Society of Christian Serving of the Methodist Church met Wednesday afternoon with two guest speakers. Mrs Jack Ros from Clarion served as district recording secretary and Mrs L W Praeger Jr from Belmond was district treasurer. Mrs John Zimmerman led devotions on observing Lent. Mrs Floyd Hutmacher and Miss Tom Gimet attended as hosts.
Mr and Mrs Tom Gimer along with Paul and David traveled to Des Moines on Sunday to attend Melissa Gimers second birthday party at the home of Mr and Mrs Dick Gimer Guests included Mr and Mrs Fred Bolte and a daughter from Ankeny and Mrs Dick Gimers Boone-based parents Also present were additional relatives for the celebration.
Mrs Bertie Martin came back Tuesday March 1 from a lengthy stay with J C Buchanan in Nashville Tennessee She also visited the Arthur Lubbert home in Des Moines over the weekend Her son and his wife Mr and Mrs Walter Martin drove to Des Moines to bring her home Her daughters are Mrs Buchanan and Mrs Lubbert

Mr and Min Clarenee staffy were put in charge of recreation duties as part of the program.
