Mr and Mrs Fred Bell visited Des Moines last Saturday while Mrs Dr Hall of Des Moines called on friends Tuesday. Clarence Messer of Humboldt spent Monday in town. Mrs Henry Hawthorne traveled to Humboldt Tuesday morning. Miss Mary Miller of Goldfield visited Laura Packard Tuesday. Miss Clarke from Engle Grove works at Engleby Millinery. Miss Anna Geigel visited Henry Geigel's home last week. Miss Lena Block and Mrs Gus Rohner went to Humboldt Monday. Milk buyers call 34 for inquiries. The new high school building was dedicated Monday evening with a large audience and fine program. Mrs Casper Norder died Tuesday morning February 29 after long illness. funeral Friday at 1 pm at the house then Evangelical church. The Adventures of a Madcap, a four reel hand colored feature, plays at Vernon Theatre Saturday night with Percolator and Bun Boys prizes for early arrivals, later numbers for others. Mrs E J Palmer offers gaol coin fodder for sale, contact her at once.
Public auction Friday March 10 1916 at 10 am on the old Baumgartner farm four miles north of Renwick five miles east and one mile south of LaVerne and seven miles south and two miles west of Corwith. Live stock includes 140 head of cattle 65 head of horses 50 head of hogs plus farm machinery. Payment terms cash under ten dollars and notes on larger sums with ten percent interest. Lunch provided. Auctioneers B W Wilkinson and Berm Brumow.

A ladies group met at Mrs. J. L. Dunfee home to organize the Luni Sunshine Society to support the Christian Home in Council Bluffs Iowa. Members pay 10 cents monthly attend meetings every four weeks, donate a dollar monthly, sew quilts repair clothing and ship barrels of fruit eggs and garments. Four new members joined bringing total to ten. The next meeting is March 23 hosted by Mrs S A Palmer with officers listed.
