The new egg candling and grading law takes effect July 4 and requires that eggs bought or sold for resale be candled graded and labeled per federal standards. Retail eggs must meet USDA consumer grade B or higher and be kept under 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The law also prohibits selling eggs unfit for human food without proper denaturing.
