Local clubs and birthday gatherings mark midweek social scene

The Literary Guild met Wednesday with Mrs. Marie Mills. a grooming lesson was led by Mrs. Maurice Nissen Moyencae. Fourteen ladies hosted a birthday tea at Mrs. Mary Babler’s home. lunch and gifts honored her. Mrs. Otto Swanson’s group celebrated with a lunch and gifts Wednesday afternoon. Nervig Gamea planned by Mrs. Sigrid Carlson. The Happy Hour Club met at Mrs. John Vought’s near Galt ist. fifteen members attended with three guests for a noon pot rack dinner and social afternoon. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Nick Andersen of Goldfield and Alfred Pehl Sr. of Clarion, plus Mrs. Norman Brown. Norman Brown attended Ames graduation exercises at Iowa State College Friday evening as part of the class. The Olson reunion took place at Bicknell Park in Humboldt on Sunday with Olson family members. Larry Lerdal’s guests included Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Enzmarin of International Falls and Mina, Amy Sandren of Ft. Dodge, Leonard Kubly and children of Garner, and Ephraim Haaland and family of Goldfield. Carl Lippolt’s home hosted Dean Hodson and family from Forest City. Hodson and Lippolt families also shared dinner and supper.

Club Meeting at Home of Mrs Gudrun Andersen

The T40 club was entertained at the home of Mrs Gudrun Andersen on June Lith. Fourteen members and five guests were present. Current events were given by Mrs Ruth Katley, and a lesson titled Outdoor Living was presented by Mrs Joyce.
