Wright County 4-H Achievement Days begin with the 13 clubs showcasing clothing projects. County committee judges will place articles and select Eagle Grove District Fair entries from each club. Citizens and parents are invited to attend the shows.
Mrs Elmer Hamm Mr George Rice and Jean Ann Riley visited Mrs John Pohlman at the hospital Saturday. Mrs Raymond Herland of Kanawha stays with the Riley family while Mrs Pohlman rests. Carol Reeler visited the Clark Riley home Wednesday evening. Raymond Herland of Ranawhs and Mrs John Babcock of Corwith were Sunday visitors.
The Cosmopolitan Club and families gathered at Greenwood Park in Eagle Grove on Sunday for their annual picnic with 42 attendees. Attendees listed include the Schipull, Klein, Lane, Schneider, Larson, Liscum, Gillespie, Yungelady, Martin, Yanney, Christofferson families and others.
Bonnie Raingeker chaired the Vernon Up and Atom Club with eight members seven guests and no leaders. Three junior demonstrations were planned with the best chosen for Achievement Day to visit the county fair. Demonstrations covered fabrics matching plaids raveling pinning sewing sk irt to blouse plackets stain removal and zippers. The club enjoyed a swimming party on July 20 and a June workshop at LaVerne Town Hall with all members and mothers present. Report by Shirley Kissinger.
There will be no Sunday School or Worship Services on Sunday July 21 or July 28 Renwick WSCS meets July 31 at 2 00 pm Evening Circle at 8 00 pm.
July 28 schedules show pastors Hardy Hoy Beisermeyer and Orville Olson at Baptist and Lake Evangelical Lutheran churches with worship times. Evangelical United Brethren publishes Sunday School at 9 30 am and morning worship at 10 30 am with a sermon on Moses and the Outdoors. Choir and builders’ meetings are listed for Cedar Falls and Riverside Bible Camp.
St Pauls Lutheran Church lists A L Braunschweig as pastor with divine worship at 8:30 and 10:30 and a Sunday School at 9:30.
