Members of the Renwick Woman's Club hosted a surprise birthday party for Mrs Gerhard Mayer and held a housewarming at her home. The Vernon 4-H Club, including guests, traveled to Des Moines on July 11, 1952, visiting the state capital, governor's chair, art center, Meredith Publishing, and Younkers Tea Room before returning at 2:36 AM, tired but pleased with a day of events and radio air time.

PMA Elections Start Today in Humboldt County Townships
Humboldt County farmers begin three week PMA elections July 23 to August 2 to choose three community committeemen and an alternate to represent each area at the county convention. Voting is by mail open to owner operators and others in the Price Support Program or ACP practices. Committeemen will guide soil, water conservation and ACP program use, ensuring qualified, available volunteers lead in 1953.
