Card of Thanks for Hospital Visitors and Blessings
Card of thanks expresses gratitude for cards letters and gifts received while in hospital and after returning home. Special thanks to Baptist Church and Rev Elmer Buenning for visits. Also notes numerous 4th of July visits and family gatherings across Muscatine Belmond Washington Omaha and Des Moines with extended family details.

Vernon Boosters 4-H Club met at Rick Nelson home with Larry Neilson opening. Fred Hefty presented a demonstration. Oppedahl led briefing on Humboldt County Fair set for late August. Topics included vaccination, hearth papers, hog and dairy care, past-year activities, and Parliamentary Procedure. Reporter Hutoll Trask notes.

Social visiting round up around Iowa Falls area
Mrs James Zigrang and family were Thursday dinner guests at the Pete Sadler home. Mr and Mrs Kicher and family of Newsom were Friday and Saturday guests. Mr and Mrs John Moecinig and family of Manson were also Saturday guests. Mr and Mrs John Zimmer man visited Sunday afternoon with Mrs Emma Hodenfield at the home of her daughter, Mrs Sherman Skogerboe at Iowa Falls. They also called on Mrs Ruth Kerney there. Mrs Marie Nissen returned home Saturday from a visit with her daughter and family Mr and Mrs Robert Watson at North Platte Neb. Mr and Mrs Henry Kraft spent the weekend at their cabin at Lost Island. Mr and Mrs Wilbur Nissen spent the weekend in Water too at the Richard Nissen. Mr and Mrs Erling Nerem and Tracy of Cedar Falls were Saturday supper guests in the Lawrence Nerem home. Mrs Violet Rokhus and family and Vicki Patrick were Sunday visitors. Linda Ryk hus remained for a weeks visit.
