Birthday observance for Mrs Wr Nissen and the 4 H Belles of Boone met July 6 with talks on hygiene clothing and accessories. Achievement Day planned for August 9. July 19 meeting at Maurine Nissen’s home. Vernon 4 H Club July 8 meeting at Sandra Helmick’s home with LaVonne Erwin’s convention report and demonstrations.

Hardy WSCS Hosts Church Parlors Meeting
The WSCS gathering met in church parlors on Thursday afternoon led by Mrs Verna May with a review of the United Nations lesson by Mrs Phy Ge. Mrs Ruth Gotta shared a report from the Summer Institute at Spirit Lake. A tasty lunch followed, prepared by Mrs Edith Pannell, Mrs Betis Jean Anderson, Mr and Mrs Anne McGowan and family, and Mr Harold.

The Town council of Hardy Humboldt County will meet July 28 1949 at 7 P.M. at the Fire Station. Taxpayers may be heard for or against the expenditure estimate for the year beginning April 1 1950.
