Mr and Mrs Dot Hall and their children Randy and Lane have moved to Bentwick and will open the Peoples Cafe today July 1 after six weeks of closure following Peg Jones and Mr and Mrs Wall retirement. The cafe was previously operated in Leland before the move.

Free Chuck Wagon Feed Sat July 10 at Vern on School Grounds
The Farmer Co op Elevators of Renwick and the Hardy Coop Elevator sponsor a free Chuck Wagon Feed on Saturday July 10 from 5 pm to 3 pm at Vern on School Grounds. Menu includes charcoal cooked hamburgers baked beans potato chips and pop. About 1200 people attended last year and inviting all to attend again with family.

Rites Held For Former Resident Asha Walkner
Asha Welkner daughter of Jacob and Sareh Freitag born January 1874 in Wisconsin died June 1 1905 in Humboldt. She lived with her sister in Renwick after moving from New Glare Township. She married Frank Walkner on November 1891 and they farmed north of Renwick then moved to Renwick. Survived by daughters Sarah Rice and Florence Hurisen, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, brothers Jacob of Monroe and Henry of DeKath.

Dan Kelling taken to Belmond Hospital by ambulance Monday evening June 21 for observation and treatment.
