Vigorous Vernon 4-H Club Meeting and Demonstrations
The Vigorous Vernon 4-H Club met at Darene Zweifel's home with 14 members, one teacher, and one guest. Officers were installed after the business meeting. Darlene Zweifel demonstrated baking powder biscuits and Lola Friday demonstrated canning chicken. Talks on cereals and serving ideas followed by songs and a lunch. Evangelical United Brethren Youth Fellowship met afterward with devotions by Robert Harty, lesson by Marvin Pearson, games, and lunch hosted by Mrs Hefty and Mrs Ogan.

Town Council Minutes January 7 1952 Meeting
The regular Town Council meeting held January 7 1952 was attended by Mayor Packard and council members Conn McGowan McCurry Nelson and Latch with Gugger absent. December 3 1951 minutes were read and approved. Bills presented include Iowa Electric Supply Co Mid County Petroleum Eureka Fire Co Wright County Exline Diesel and M W Bell Tel among others totaling several hundred dollars.
