Prominent Young People Wed in Double Ceremony

Harold Aruigon and Mise Vaughan Marlin of Renwick wed with Franklin Mibrey and Alias Rowene Perking of Kanawha in a double ceremony at the Methodist church in Lake Mille officiated by Rev. W. J. Witter. Attendants were Miss Evelyn Parktun of Corwith and Duane Bonewell of Renwick. The couple's families and friends celebrated at a reception in Britt and later visits in Fort Dodge and Renwick. Both couples have deep local roots and will reside in Renwick.

Coasting and skating party held by local church group

The Methodist church near Boone river hosted a coasting and skating event Saturday afternoon. A recently held organizational consent addressed Bible questions while celebrants entertained the winners after the contest. Refreshments followed at the home of Afra Belden Weikel, their counselor.

Wateri Party At New Years Eve Noted At Home

The Brother League held a private party at the home of Mr and Mrs Trummel in New York New Years Eve. Mrs Trummel and Mrs Rohwer served a plasmen dinner followed by songs and a pro gram. About forty five attended and at midnight the party went to the church to ring the bell.

Dinner and Cards at Country Home Leads to Quarrel

Mr and Mrs Wo Vanney hosted a dinner and card party at their countryside home at seven o clock, followed by treats for five guests. Mr and Mrs Guy Johnson won high prizes for cards, while Mea A TH Stafford and Uriel Jince earned low score prizes. A Irish preacher cited drinking as the greatest curse of the country, sparking a quarrel with a neighbor.

Marjorie Stephens Weds Young Man at Corwith

Marjorie Stephens daughter of Mr and Mrs W Stephens of Corwith wed Karl Trenary son of Mr and Mrs Fred Trenary in a Methodist ceremony in Corwith last Saturday morning. Rev O L Schaal officiated with Miss Dorothy Stephens sister of the bride and Eluer Urenary bridesmaid attending. The Stephens family moved from Renwick to Corwith last summer after years here. Stephens worked at the I G A store in Corwith and Marjorie was a Renwick high school senior. Trenary grew up near Corwith.

Men's Community Club Meeting at Schoolhouse Monday Night

The Men's Community Club will hold its regular monthly meeting at the schoolhouse next Monday night January 14. Rev Mubleman of Algona will present an illustrated talk on scouting. A slight hand act by Howard Schoonaver of Eagle Grove and a comedy sketch by Helen Hefti and Orville Amosson are on the program. Boys aged 12 to 24 are invited, with a lunch charge of 10 cents for the boys.

Former Renwick Resident Dies in California Home

L. A. Munger, once a Renwick resident and operator of the Farmers' elevator, died in Long Beach California on Sunday December 23. His funeral was held the following Thursday. The Mungers were prominent residents of Renwick about thirty years ago before moving to California.

American Legion Basket Social at Renwick High

The American Legion will host a basket social and program at Renwick high school auditorium on Thursday evening, January 17. The public is invited and attendees are asked to bring baskets. The program includes music by R. W. Bep Dand, readings by Mrs. Joseph Helgevold, a minstrel show by the Legion Post, a vocal solo by Joseph Helgevold, a musical skit Freckles by Liberty Township Bovaters.
