Notestine Civil War veteran Dies at 88 in Hardy
John William Natestine a Civil War veteran aged 88 years 10 months and 25 days died at 6 00 pm Monday December 27 1920 in Hardy Iowa He was born February 2 1832 in Miami County Ohio and moved to town in 1867 He married Amanda Javis later wed Paulina Skeels and Issadore Rodgers He served in the 8th Ohio Cavalry and spent three months in Libby prison The funeral was Tuesday afternoon at Hardy church with burial in Vernon cemetery He leaves two living children William and Josiah two sisters ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren

Corwith Hustler reports T. R. McKaig married Miss Hazel McKaig at his brother’s Fort Worth home on December 19 1920. Hazel is 30, a St Clair Oil & Gas stenographer, former boarder for eighteen months. They plan to reside in southern California after January 1 at 8013 Budlong Ave Los Angeles.

Wright County Fair Grounds Sold at Sheriff Sale
The Wright County fairgrounds were sold at sheriff's sale Saturday to satisfy a mortgage for 6650 held by J. B. Uht of Des Moines. Farmers Elevator Co claims 2100. president Thomas Shillington bid in the grounds at 9107 to protect interests. Several hundred dollars in other claims will be canceled. the 40 acre site within city limits valued at about 300 per acre. Redeeming by the fair association within the year seems likely.
