Mr and Mrs Walt Attig celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last Thursday evening February 20. Mr and Mrs Ernest Helmke and Phyllis were supper guests. An ushered Oskie centered the supper. Attendants at their wedding were invited but unable to attend.
Mrs Elmer Philipp presided at a Literary Guild meeting with Miss Ethel Zehms present and a talk on pre school examination. Walter Kraft and Elsmer Schnetzer hosted a pink and blue shower for Dudne Halvorson. 4 H Club demonstrations featured basket nets and polisaix ware. SCS Bridge Club prize awards followed by lunch. Woman's Club discusses racial tolerance and aid to Netherlands schools.
The Fortnightly Club will meet with Mrs. D. J. Christenson and Mrs. John Zimmerman to present a lesson on Iowa authors. Mrs. Rose Hefty hosted a birthday dinner for Mrs. Maurer, followed by a surprise party planned by Sus Hefty and Mrs. Hlassi. George Beil hosted guests for Mr. McGowan birthday celebrations with multiple families in attendance. The W.S.C.S. met at the Methodist church with devotions and a lesson on the children of One World. A 500 Club event hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Pete Sadler yielded travel and concealed prizes, plus a lunch. Krafts hosted a 500 party with high forms and a noon lunch. St Pauls Luther League enjoyed a hamburger supper and business meeting with Corwith Luther League guests. The K.Y.N. club met for a surprise lunch. Cub Dens 4 and 2 held a Den meeting with officer elections and planned a Pack Meeting for Feb 27. Erling Nerem provided entertainment and prizes went to Chir Flogstad and Chair Swan.
