Mrs Benedicts Niece Dies While Visiting Here in Belmond
Lydia Emma Betts Nowlin Betts, born 1871 Belmond Jamaica Street, died Sunday in Belmond hospital after illness while visiting Renwick. She married A B Nowlin in 1890 and lived near Humboldt. she later wed Homer Kohn in 1922. Services held at Belmond funeral home and later in Seward Nebraska with burial in Giltner. Her son Ray Nowlin traveled from Nebraska for the funeral duties.

Miss Bernette Heygen and Stanley Heegen attended. The bride is a Vernon high school 1920 graduate and has taught at Lake No 1 while the groom finished Kemwick high school in 1922 and works southwest of Henwick.
